Did you vs. Do you

‘Did you?’ Is asking about something you have already experienced.

‘Do you?’ If you’re asking about something that’s happening currently or in the future, the correct phrase would be “Do you.”

Examples:

  1. Did you like the movie last night?
  2. Did you eat lunch with your coworker?
  3. Did you yell at the client
  4. Do you know what is happening to our company?
  5. Do you want to go on a date with me?
  6. Do you go to the gym for weight training or yoga classes?

Add ‘when’ to your question.
