Just to review, "to apologize" for something means to feel or say sorry to someone. You may add adverbs that are used to strengthen the meaning of other adverbs and adjectives. They are called degree adverbs because they specify the degree to which an adjective or another adverb applies. In other words, these types of words intensify the overall meaning.
Some examples of adverbs that fit well with "apologize" are:

- extremely
- totally
- really
- sincerely
- highly
- wholeheartedly
- completely
- terribly
- deeply
