I’m looking forward to

Writer’s Note

One of the more common expressions in English, it means to expect something with pleasure. To feel excited or happy that an event is going to happen. Remember that using negatives such as "no, not, don’t, or didn’t" will change the meaning into something you are not excited or not happy that something is going to happen.

Here are some fun examples for you to try out:

1. I’m looking forward to sleeping in and doing absolutely nothing this weekend.
मैं इस सप्ताहांत में देर तक सोने और बिल्कुल कुछ नहीं करने की प्रतीक्षा कर रहा हूँ।
2. I’m looking forward to our pizza night like it’s a national holiday.
मैं बेसब्री से इंतजार कर रहा हूँ हमारे पिज़्ज़ा नाइट का, जैसे यह एक राष्ट्रीय अवकाश हो।
3. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s Halloween costumes—especially the weird ones.

Try it out! Repeat the sentences out loud and switch up the nouns or verbs to make your own sentence. Use your phone to record yourself and your new sentences, it’s a great way to practice and get used to hearing your own voice speak English.
